Reformed Baptist Church of Coleman, Texas

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to his abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,

1 Peter 1:3

Reformed Baptist Church of Coleman is a church plant located in Coleman Texas.

It is our humble desire to see the Gospel of Jesus Christ preached in Coleman and surrounding counties and to establish, by God’s grace, a fellowship of believers who truly desire to “walk worthy of the vocation wherewith ye are called, With all lowliness and meekness, with longsuffering, forbearing one another in love; Endeavouring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace” (Eph 4:1-3).

We are a Christian fellowship which unashamedly proclaims salvation by grace through faith, in the tradition of historic Christianity: where Scripture remains the sole authority for all faith and practice; where earnest contending for the faith is exercised without being contentious; and where Christ’s glory is sought in all we say and do! We warmly invite you to come and worship with us.

Scripture of the Week

Thus saith the Lord; Cursed be the man that trusteth in man, and maketh flesh his arm, and whose heart departeth from the Lord. For he shall be like the heath in the desert, and shall not see when good cometh; but shall inhabit the parched places in the wilderness, in a salt land and not inhabited. Blessed is the man that trusteth in the Lord, and whose hope the Lord is. For he shall be as a tree planted by the waters, and that spreadeth out her roots by the river, and shall not see when heat cometh, but her leaf shall be green; and shall not be careful in the year of drought, neither shall cease from yielding fruit. The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it? I the Lord search the heart, I try the reins, even to give every man according to his ways, and according to the fruit of his doings.

Jeremiah 17:5-10

Quotes of the Week

Read the Bible with earnest prayer for the teaching and the help of the Holy Spirit. Here is the rock on which many make shipwreck at the very outset. They do not ask for wisdom and instruction, and so they find the Bible a dark book, and carry nothing away from it. You should pray for the Spirit to guide you into all truth. You should beg the Lord Jesus Christ to “open your understanding,” as He did that of his Disciples.

JC Ryle

If a man would lead a happy life, let him but seek a sure object for his trust, and he shall be safe: “He shall not be afraid of evil tidings: his heart is fixed, trusting in the Lord.” He hath laid up his confidence in God, therefore his heart is kept in an equal poise.
